US Marines – Semper Fi – R.I.P.

In Memory of our Guardian Angels in the flesh

“Executive Mansion,
Washington, Nov. 21, 1864.

Dear Madam,
I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln”

Robert Rite (5/27/2017):  Imagine for a moment that you are drafted into combat duty.  While there you have to endure immense humidity in   relentless100 degree weather, carrying at least fifty pounds of battle gear, walking endless miles through mud and dirty water, enduring rainy sleepless nights; fighting off mosquitoes, while sleeping next to field rats and other vermin; all this while dodging bullets and booby traps, under ear piercing explosions and maddening noise;  and watching fellow soldiers whom you love like a brother, falling and dying by your side!  Then you come home to receive the cold shoulder.  Instead of thanking you for your great sacrifice, they call you and treat you like a traitor and child murderer.  If that wasn’t too much to bear, then nobody wants to hire you for fear of backlash, and so you end up homeless.  In essence, you escape hell, just to come back to a different kind of hell.

Hard to believe right?  Well that is exactly what happened to our Vietnam veterans! Let’s pray that this never happens again!

In Memoriam

So forgetting that dark moment in history,  if there was just one day that the USA Should be very Proud of – a day that truly Marks America’s greatness as a people and as a nation – it is Memorial day!

I am most proud to be an American on Memorial Day, because God gave us all the freedom to choose and more than anything else – that is what America stands for.  With all of our faults as a nation, and there are many faults, we are revered the world over as having the most disciplined and courageous military in modern times.  America’s military service men and women are recognized for their honor, courage, discipline, integrity, and training.  It is their character, and not our military equipment, that the enemy fears the most!

What Can We do in Their Memory

So what can we do in memory of our fallen heroes and our returning vets?

1) Thank God for their life and sacrifice and pray for those they left behind.
2) Thank them whenever you see them in uniform or learn of their sacrifice.
3) Never shame a soldier returning from war like they treated our Vietnam Vets!
4) We must never allow our leaders or fellow citizens to intimidate us, and to
compromise the rights and freedom that our soldiers fought and died for!
5)
Let us regularly pray for our freedom in America.  Pray that our political system is not corrupted so much as to allow Satan to influence our leaders into persuading and deceiving American citizens into unwittingly and or willingly giving up a portion or all of their freedoms and their constitutional rights, in return for socialist like programs, handouts and or false protections.  History is a testament that once given up – freedom never returns!

As free Americans we must resist and fight all of those evil regimes, and nations that hate America and what we stand for.  Nations and groups that continuously intimidate, terrorize, and torment us; who lust for our destruction.  They hate Christians and Jews, because we serve a God that stands for freedom, free choice, and love.

Freedom is a Divine Right

If God gave us 100% freedom to choose, whether to believe in Him and accept His gift of salvation, who are we to take away those rights from our fellow brothers and sisters?

How can we allow mere mortals in positions of power to restrict our freedom to openly serve God and proclaim our faith in Him.

How can they enact, enforce, and expect us to embrace immoral laws that are contrary to the word of God?

We must never allow restrictions regarding public expression of our religious beliefs.

As warriors of a Greater kingdom we must be vigilant and never allow it!

Those who serve and believe in almighty God recognize how precious freedom is!  How priceless it is for Christians and Jews the world over to enjoy the freedom to serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the God of the bible.  Yet in many countries today Christians and Jews are martyred for their religious beliefs.  May the Lord return soon to end this madness, and in the meantime, may that demonic spirit of persecution never invade our homeland!

We are all soldiers

Just like our fallen heroes who paid for a lifetime, we too are soldiers with a lifetime tour of duty.  Our battlefield is our mind and soul!
We all fight an everlasting battle against an invisible enemy; the forces of evil.

Let us, the body of Christ, fight to preserve our freedom to worship the sovereign God of the Universe – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – Jehovah!

There is a greater freedom that you and I must battle every single moment of every single day, and that is freedom from demonic bondage.  As Christians, and soldiers of a greater kingdom to come, let us put on the whole armor of God which is listed in: Ephesians 6:11-18.  We CANNOT win this supernatural battle without it!

In the movie “Saving Private Ryan”, after sacrificing his life to save the young army ranger,
as he lay dying, Captain Miller’s final words whispered into Private James Ryan’s ear were…

“James, earn this…earn it!”

Likewise, we the descendants of the “Greatest generation” need to make sure that we also “earn it”, by  choosing the honorable path.
Their spirit lives on in our example, when we embrace the same standards that they served with – Honor, Courage, Loyalty and Integrity.  These are the standards that make the Army, Navy, Air Force and United States Marine Corps, the greatest fighting force on earth!  These high standards were the badge of honor that our war heroes took to their grave.

When we try to live an honorable life and value the freedom that they died to preserve,
then their great sacrifice will not have been in vain

To my fallen brothers and sisters of The United States Marine Corps!  Semper Fi…
