Robert Rite (8/21/2011): This is a very personal message that I am going to share right now. I have travelled the earth for over 40 years, and like many of you I had made the wrong turn many 
times in my life and had distanced myself from the Lord. Like the Israelites who traversed the wilderness for 40 years, they chose the long road because of their stubbornness and disobedience.
I thought that the outside world with all of its glamour and luxuriousness was better than salvation. I have paid a great price for my pride, and arrogance throughout my life. Like the children of Israel, for 40 years I wandered aimlessly; lost in the wilderness of sin, seeking worldly gain and fortune. But life is full of u-turns costing us precious time, and when our time runs up, we realize that we were just going around in circles. Many of us end up nowhere, sickly, and unhappy. So as a fellow servant, I urge you to “Choose Life”, just like I did several years back!
Okay, I still ain’t perfect. Indeed, God knows that we cannot be perfect in this temporary body. We are all “work in progress”.
In my former life, I was Just like the ancient Israelites who had an opportunity to secure the promised land in their first year out of Egypt, but chose instead to rebel against God, and therefore had to spend 40 years suffering in the harsh Sinai desert before they were allowed back into the promised land. Many of us choose to try to make it all by ourselves without God. We are really just choosing the long disappointing way though life’s journey, rather than taking the short cut to happiness. But by the grace of God, some of us are wise enough to humble our souls and to allow God back into our life, before it is too late.
The freedom to choose is great, but only if we choose wisely, so please: “Choose life!”.
As long as we are saved that is what matters! And the fact is that every human being can be saved. If I was, so can you. From the bum in the street to the dying patient, God wants to save you today!
Now, I don’t need to tell you how difficult life has become lately, for most of us living in this lost world. I strongly urge you to devote some time each day to seek the Lord in prayer and by reading the word of God in the Bible. Let God guide you through the storms and difficult time ahead. No one knows when the world will end, but we know that it will end for you and me someday; maybe even today? We do not know if today or tomorrow is our last day on this earth, or when we will be called to stand before the creator of the universe. At that point it will be too late. Then we will either have Eternal life with our creator or eternal death. But one thing is certain. We cannot expect eternal life if we do not know God. So read the bible, God’s handbook for mankind. In it you will be blessed with great insight into who we are, who is God, who we are destined to become, what awaits us in Heaven, and much more. In the Bible, there is so much wisdom on dealing with all of life’s issues, that this alone is well worth your time! So many secrets are revealed in the Holy Bible.
If you do not feel that you are right with God, please take action and ask the Lord to come into your life today. You can start by reading the Gospel of John in the New Testament. It is the fourth book of the New Testament and it is easier to understand than the other gospels, and it’s full of encouraging words from the Lord.
God loves you dearly, and he stands ready at the door of your heart and knocks. He knocks for you to hear him and to open the door of your heart, and to let him in (to your
life), so that he can start molding you into the person he always wanted you to be. A winner! Perhaps not in the eyes of a lost world, but in the eyes of the ONLY one that matters – God
the Almighty!
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me” Revelation
3:20
Since God is love, he cannot force you to do anything.…it is 100% your choice to accept his Love today and start receiving the Blessings that he promises for all of his people.
Or you can choose to wait for another day (and hopefully there will be another day for you).
Again, as a fellow servant, I urge you to “Choose Life”! I pray that you make that choice today.
To accept the Lord into your life, just pray: “Dear lord I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe that he is your only begotten son, and that he died on the cross for my sins. Please come into my life and guide all that I do, and bless the rest of my life through the blood of Jesus and your promises of the Holy spirit as revealed in the Holy Bible. Open my eyes that I may see, and open my ears that I may hear your Holy words in the Bible. Upon my belief in Jesus and acceptance of his death for my sins, I am saved. Thank you Lord”
